Solar energy projects moving ahead in California


According to Cnet, The Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management issued its final environmental impact statement for the Chevron (CVX) Energy Solutions Lucerne Valley Solar Project in the California desert. The report is a step that had to be completed before the project can obtain approval. It is expected to generate enough power to supply hundreds of thousands of homes. Meanwhile, the California Public Utilities Commission approved two purchasing agreements that two utilities made with solar energy developers.
